Recent questions over the justness of the 2008 elections is understandable when recent American history is considered.
In 2000 George Bush won the election despite having lost the popular vote by over 1/2 million.
Adding to this in Florida the Supreme Court said that they had to stop the recount because if it continued it would, 'threaten irreparable harm to petitioner (Bush).' The courts presumed Bush's win without the need to count the votes.
